My approach is flexible and personalized to meet your unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT, and Attachment Theory. For couples, I integrate DBT and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help deepen connection and strengthen your relationship. With respect to RO-DBT, our classes (virual and in-person) are led by experienced therapists. This class blends innovative RO-DBT principles with practical techniques to cultivate openness, vulnerability, and authenticity in relationships. Through group discussions, experiential exercises, and psychoeducation, learn to navigate social hierarchies, regulate emotions, and foster genuine connections. Whether battling perfectionism, rigidity, or social isolation, our RO-DBT Skills Class offers a supportive space to develop self-awareness, emotional expression, and interpersonal effectiveness.

I currently offer the full RO-DBT treatment which includes both individual sessions, RO-DBT skills classes, phone coaching and a consultation team to adults 17+. I offer in person (on request) and telehealth to my Michigan clients and only telehealth to my New York clients. I am also intensively trained in DBT (with behaviortech) and ERP (with CTSA of UPENN). I accept most insurances as an out of network provider (I handle all of the insurance paperwork and submitting of superbills, you only pay your co-pay with me) and provide a sliding scale for session fees.

RO DBT Clinics UK is a private practice partnership set up by Helen Brice, Alex Fowke and Ian Wootton who are all experienced and intensively-trained RO DBT therapists. We have been delivering a comprehensive RO DBT programme since 2017, and we have expanded our team to include a number of other intensively-trained therapists. The full RO DBT programme is available to anyone aged 18 or over. It comprises weekly individual sessions alongside 30 online skills training classes. In some cases we may be able to provide individual sessions only or skills classes only and would be happy to discuss this as part of the assessment process. We are able to work with families and partners to provide RO DBT-informed psychoeducational support. Individual RO DBT-informed treatment is available for those who are aged from 13 years, and a specific under-18s skills class will be coming soon.
