Kayla Jessop (she/her), RDN, CEDS-C, Senior Certified RO DBT Dietitian, is a registered dietitian, certified eating disorder specialist, and approved supervisor with extensive experience across levels of care. She specializes in overcontrolled eating disorders, helping individuals of all ages reduce rigidity and emotional loneliness while rebuilding trust with food and body.
Kayla began her RO DBT training in 2019 and continues to receive individual supervision from Hope Arnold. She was first introduced to RO DBT while serving as Lead Dietitian at a treatment center in New York City. Integrating RO DBT into nutrition therapy quickly transformed her clinical work, allowing clients to move through recovery at greater speed with flexibility, openness, and alignment with their values.
Kayla is the owner and founder of Kayla Jessop Nutrition Company, a group practice providing individual nutrition therapy, RO DBT–informed care, meal support, supervision, and group services. She leads a team of dietitians who specialize in eating disorder treatment and is especially passionate about collaborating closely with RO DBT practitioners to ensure nutrition care meaningfully complements psychotherapy. Her nutritional approach is grounded in anti-diet principles, Health at Every Size®, and Intuitive Eating, with a strong emphasis on social signaling and reducing overcontrol around food and body.
She is also the founder of RO4RD, a training and education platform designed to help dietitians integrate RO DBT into their clinical work with confidence and integrity. Kayla is a frequent presenter locally and nationally on the intersection of RO DBT, eating disorders, and nutrition therapy. Through RO4RD, Kayla trains and supervises dietitians around the world, translating RO DBT theory into practical, day-to-day interventions within nutrition sessions. She is known for her direct yet compassionate teaching style and her ability to make complex concepts clinically usable.
Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time outdoors with her family or relaxing on the couch watching TV.
