Luke Jordan is a graduate of the RO DBT scholar programme and an accredited RO DBT senior clinician. He began his RO training in 2020. In his clinical work, Luke supervises the Older Adult RO-DBT service in Manchester England, the first RO-DBT service in the UK exclusively for older adults. His focus is on older adults, although Luke also has a special interest in autism. He is particularly interested in how public health services can work with ‘non-treatment seeking’ populations.
Luke was intensively trained in DBT and is trained in schema therapy. He is also an accredited trainer and supervisor in Structured Clinical Management, and an accredited practitioner of Mentalisation Based Treatment.
Luke has presented at national and international conferences on subjects relating to older adults, autism, and RO-DBT. He is actively involved in psychotherapy research, and is the chief investigator for a research trial investigating the acceptability of psychotherapy treatment for older adults. Luke has written for the British Psychological Society on subjects including overcontrol, risk, and the clinical differences that older people present when compared with younger adults
